Compare two AI answers
Be able to compare two answers, find the differences and check them against a source.
Prerequisites
- CAsking effective questions to AIrequired
Intuition
Put the same question to two AI services (or the same one twice). The answers differ — sometimes in style, sometimes in fact. Differences of fact are gold: at least one of the answers is wrong.
The method:
- List the claims in each answer.
- Mark where they say different things.
- Check every difference against a source that is not an AI (a textbook, Wikipedia with a reference, a public authority).
- Note which service was wrong — and whether it sounded confident.
Interactive
An example: «When was the Öresund Bridge built?»
- Answer A: «The Öresund Bridge was inaugurated in 2000.»
- Answer B: «The Öresund Bridge opened in 1998 and is 16 km long.»
The difference: the year. The source (Wikipedia / the Øresund Bridge Consortium): inaugurated 1 July 2000. B was wrong — and sounded just as confident as A.
Make a table: question · answer A · answer B · difference · source · who was right. Ten rows give you a feel for when an AI answer needs checking.
